Captain America: Civil War
Captain America: Civil War is coming to cinemas soon and we here at MCU Exchange couldn’t be more excited! Like all of our previous coverage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this blog post will be divided into two parts: the first focusing on the film’s new matte regraded posters, and the second on how each character contributes to the overall story.
Part one of this blog post will focus on the newly reworked posters for Captain America. Civil War that have been revealed by Marvel Studios.utilizing a stark and clean black and white design. These posters give a much more professional appearance than their predecessors. This change in style was most likely made in order to better match up with other released Marvel films such as Black Panther and Doctor Strange. In addition, there are now four separate images featuring each character rather than three, which allows for a much more dynamic scene composition when watching the movie.
In terms of content, one key difference between these posters and their predecessors is that Winter. Soldier now features prominently in both his classic costume and his new modus operandi outfit. Furthermore Falcon has been promoted to co-star status replacing Scarlet Witch, who played a much smaller role in Avengers. Age of Ultron (which Abramović says was intentional). With so many characters now involved in Captain America: Civil War. It’s fascinating to see how each individual poster reflects that diversity. For instance Tony Stark’s updated imagery suggests he may have switched sides after seeing evidence of
When Avengers: Infinity War was released in 2018, fans and critics were polarized about the appearance of the film’s Ragnarok title sequence. After all, it seemed to be a throwback to the original 1990s Thor movies with their rough-and-tumble, ’90s-style graphics. However, when Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked how closely they had followed the comics’ version of Ragnarok. He revealed that they had actually taken some creative liberties.
Ragnarok is set after Thanos has already completed his quest to collect all six Infinity Stones and destroyed. As such, the film does not feature Thor fighting Odin for control of Asgard or battling Hela on Earth. Feige explained that “Chapter 27 [of the comics] is called ‘Battle for Asgard,’ and that’s where we start our movie” but since this would have been four hours into a two-and-a-half hour movie, they opted not to include it. Instead, “We opened up our world a little bit more […] We explored more remote parts of space.”
Beyond just opening up the story further, Feige also revealed that they made some visual changes in order to better reflect how things are looking post-Thanos. For example, while Thor’s hair is traditionally blond in its comic book incarnation. The Russo Brothers opted for a warmer brown color in order to better match his complexion in real life. Similarly, Hulk’s green hue
